Live in helper required to assist with an elderly client in her 80s, who is very active and mobile but just needs assistance around the home (London 4 story town house). Duties will include, but not limited to: Light cleaning, laundry, Cooking and food shopping. This is a live in role and days of work are daily throughout the period, with Sundays off. Hours will be approx 8am - 2pm and then 4.30pm-9pm.

This job is suited to a cook/housekeeper who is quiet, reliable, honest, kind and caring and is able to live in for the entire opportunity and be of all round assistance for the female principal. There are no pets in the house, and visitors will be rare, but it is important the candidate is flexible and able to handle any last minute requirements, guests, or changes with a calm attitude. It is essential the candidate is happy to do cleaning, laundry, ironing and the food shopping and cooking - breakfast, lunch and dinner, and clearing up afterwards and ensuring the household is running smoothly. There are no other members of staff. This is to cover the permanent housekeeper/cooks holiday. This housekeeper will clean one room a day and this candidate should be happy to do this too.

The day would run as follows: 8am - breakfast (berries, yoghurt, fresh apple puree, porridge etc) 1pm - Lunch - home made veg soup with chicken stock, slice of cold meat and salad or home made quiche lorraine with salad 4.30pm - cup of tea 8pm - dinner - No starter, Roast chicken, vegetables, gravy/Fish/Cottage pie/Fish pie/Rack of lamb/Always 2 vegetables - Steamed brocoli, carrots, beans etc/Red cabbage, cauliflower white sauce

The client is diabetic - she should avoid carbohydrates, and sugary things.
