A chef is required for a Christmas Dinner Party in Shiplake, near Henley. Dinner for 12 people - canapés and 2 courses. The chef should come with someone to help with serving and clearing food etc. There 2x GF requirements, one is also lactose intolerant. Plated, but modern style food. A friendly cook will be required from Mid November to the end of January on the most beautiful rural, traditional Estate in Dumfries and Galloway. The role would be to cook for the family and various shoots (some let days, some family/friends days). The family would also like the cook to work for them over the Christmas period, but not for New Year (the cook can take this off and then come back for the last few shoots in January). There will be a day off during the week (possibly two), but you need to expect to be working weekends.
A butler/Front of House individual is required to work over the busy Christmas period for a private household. Accommodation can be made available if the candidate is not local. Duties will include, but not limited to: meeting and greeting guests, collecting luggage, showing to their rooms, making and serving cocktails, serving and clearing food and drink, laying and clearing tables, attending to any specific needs and just ensuring that the home is kept organised and everyone is looked after really well.
2 x members of Housekeeping staff are required to work over the busy Christmas period. Accommodation can be made available if the candidate is not local. Duties will include, but not limited to: cleaning, hoovering, polishing, mopping, dusting, serving and clearing food and drink, laying and clearing tables, wardrobe management, making beds, stripping beds, all round tidying - keeping the house to a 5* standard at all times during a very busy period. Hours to be determined, but expect to work evenings and longer shifts.
Experienced Chef required for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24/25 December 2024). The chef should come with a waiter/waitress and kitchen assistant too, but if they do not have this, we can source separately. Organised, efficient chef required with experience with working for private clients and flexibility is key.
An experienced chef is required for 30th, 31st December 2024 and 1st January 2025. Private Household. Approx 10 people. The chef must be flexible and adaptable to last minute changes. The chef must also be prepared and happy to cook some recipes that the client particularly enjoys and asks you to cook. There is full help front of house, so the chef is just required to shop, menu plan and cook to the clients requirements accordingly.
