A live in weekend nanny/mothers help/all rounder is required for a family of 5 based in the Cotswolds, near Chipping Norton. The family are looking for a really fun, active, but sensible and organised candidate that can fit in with the busy family life. The children are aged 7, 13 and 14 years old. Days of work: Friday afternoon - Monday morning. Does not need to be a formally trained nanny, someone who likes kids, is very energetic but organised, friendly but discreet and good with both young and teenage kids! Someone sporty too who is super flexible to muck in wherever required in a busy private home. It might suit a student teacher/nursery assistant who would like to study during the week and work at weekends. This is less of a formal nanny role, and more of a fun 'sister' that is responsible, firm but fair, flexible and efficient.
It is the essential that the candidate is a confident driver and is happy to drive the children around the countryside in a 4x4 and live in over the weekend. They are looking for someone to arrive Friday afternoon and leave on a Monday morning. There will be a few weeks of travel over the course of the year (approx 3 in total but not all in one go), with the family, which this candidate would be expected to come on (dates will be given in advance).
Standard nanny duties - caring for the children, keeping them safe, organising activities, taking to parties, play dates and events, possibly some light family cooking, assisting with tidying bedrooms and toys, organising the home. This is a fully staffed household and it is essential the nanny is able to work well as part of a team, but is also independent and able to use initiative.
Previous private household experience preferred, but not essential. It is important the candidate has a confident attitude, is 100% reliable, ideally sporty and enjoys rural life. Essential you are English Speaking and a Driver.
Permanent salary, paid on a payroll. To start by JAN 2025, but trials before and if someone is available sooner that would be great.
