Ideally local cook needed - this is not for an experienced chef, and better suited to a family style cook who is happy to muck in and ideally living locally so can live out. The client is looking for someone local that they can use on a regular but AD HOC basis for weekends when they are entertaining. The dates below are dates they would potentially like to have a cook, and are looking for someone who has availability for more than one of the dates. They will then decide what date will work for them and use the first weekend as a trial. Accommodation can be provided for a cook that is not local, or if the cook wishes to stay overnight after finishing late on the Saturday but they will not want a cook from miles away.

The job will include the cook doing menu planning (with the client, shopping, cooking, laying and clearing tables and serving food and keeping the kitchen clean and organised. A smiley, flexible person is important.

Weekend party - From tea time on a Saturday (although sometimes might be from the Friday and then Sat bfast, lunch will also be required). But usually: Saturday afternoon tea, Saturday dinner, Bfast on Sunday, lunch on sunday, afternnoon tea on Sunday, then go.

Occasional simple supper on the Friday, followed by Sat bfast and Sat lunch.

Total of 10 adults to cook for - simple British style food, nothing too formal or exotic required. Relaxed.

Cook needs to lay and clear tables, and clean up kitchen but guests will also help.

Cook must be a driver with their own car, and fully set up as self employed.

The client has not invited anyone, but wants to know if someone is free for all of these dates (but will only use them for one or two of them). It would be £250 a day plus cost of ingredients and 50p/mile and accommodation can be provided if needed, but ideally it would be great for a local cook that they can use more ad hoc ongoing. The dates in mind are:

1/2 March
8/9 March
22/23 March
29/30 March
5/6 April
12/13 April

This job would probably suit a newly trained cook or a cook looking to get more experience in private homes. Pay is around £250/day, plus cost of ingredients plus 50p/mile for travel, and 4 week cancellation policy.
