#1403 - Mid December 2024 - 6th April 2025 - Private Chef for Private Chalet - Courchevel 1850

A chef is required from mid December 2024 - 6th April 2025 for a privately owned ski chalet in Courchevel 1850. This is family and friends only, no paying guests, and it is occupied throughout the season.

A willing, hard working cook/chef is required to cook for up to 12 people in a privately owned chalet. The clients require breakfast daily, and then one other meal each day (either lunch or dinner). There would be one day off a week, but you would have to do breakfast every day.

The family would like someone who has longevity on their CV (or repeat clients that they have worked for), is passionate about food and cooking and is looking to do this job as career progression, as opposed to having a party! The accommodation is inside the chalet (own room, TV, internet and bathroom) so the cook has to be mindful that you are living amongst the family and guests, so this is not suitable for a party animal.

It is essential the cook can drive, and is confident driving a 4 x 4 down to Moutiers to do shopping. The cook will also be required to drive this car out from UK with supplies, so it is important the cook is independent and happy to do this. Skis and ski passes will be provided for the candidate, and there is a ski lift right outside of the chalet door!

They enjoy 3 courses in the evenings, if the cook is doing dinner, or hearty home cooking for lunch (such as stews etc). They like traditional English food, but are happy to try other things too. No set diet requirements/allergies or foods they cannot eat, although there may be one guest that is lactose intolerant, but this will be discussed.

It will mainly be guests aged 16 years upwards to 80, with a time where there will be two 5/6 year olds, but they eat similar to the adults and ski all day.

The family are very friendly and would like this person to become part of the family, and hopefully return to them for many seasons to come.

This really must be for someone sensible, hard working, keen to progress their career within the private world (this is not a ski company job), keen to try new dishes and ideas, happy to also cook to the clients tastes and requirements. There is a housekeeper (French) who comes to help at Breakfast and will assist at lunch time as well, it is important to the client that the cook establishes a good relationship with her.

Package includes monthly salary, accommodation and food all found, and ski pass and hire.
